IBS Centers for Advanced Food Allergy Testing are dedicated to the development and use of the IBS Advanced Food Allergy Skin Test to help identify foods and food additives that may be causing the GI symptoms in some individuals suffering from IBS or IBS-like symptoms.
Michael Stierstorfer, M.D.
Michael Stierstorfer, M.D. is the pioneer of the usefulness of food patch testing for IBS and IBS-like symptoms and is the founder of East Penn Dermatology, P.C. (www.eastpennderm.com) and the IBS Centers for Advanced Food Allergy Testing. He specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Stierstorfer graduated with honors from Franklin & Marshall College and Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and Dermatology residency at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he supervises dermatology residents in training and was awarded a Faculty Teaching Award in 2008. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and Dermatological Surgery, and Philadelphia Dermatological Society. He has published in a number of peer-reviewed dermatology journals, is a clinical investigator independently and for the University of Pennsylvania, and a participant in the Major League Baseball Skin Cancer Screening and Awareness Program.
